The holidays are approaching and the one thing I want to make sure to remind myself of is that entertaining can be done with ease. Not everything has to be a sitdown meal and often during the week between Christmas and New Years there are spontaneous get togethers and last minute stop bys. I was thrilled to partner with Crown Royal Peach and Social Studies in Austin a few months ago as they approach hosting celebrations similarly - easy and elevated. Great friends, a few signature cocktails, some light snacks and a few fun party accessories are truly all you need to pull off a perfect get-together, which is exactly what we did. My friend and Social Studies co-founder & CEO Jess Latham and I invited our favorite people in Austin to celebrate the launch of A Royal Good Time and my new cookbook Colu Cooks: Easy Fancy Food. Guests dressed their best and we snacked on items inspired by the book and sipped on some truly wonderfully crafted Crown Royal Peach cocktails, including a recipe I created called the Peach and Ginger Rosemary Twist (see below for recipe details). I wish we could do it all over again. Take a peek at some fun snaps from an unforgettable evening. Cheers to a royal good time this holiday season! 21+ please drink responsibly.
