We caught up with Zahav’s Mike Solomonov last week to show you how his LG QuadWash™ Dishwasher with TrueSteam® helps him pull off his Small Gathering, Big Ritual stress-free, and we are back with a few more of Mike’s hosting tips and his favorite part of the night… the after-dinner.
There is nothing better than quickly loading up the dishwasher at the end of a big meal, turning it on, and relaxing (kids free!) while sipping an after-dinner coffee, knowing the dishes are being taken care of -- which is exactly what Mike loves about his LG dishwasher.
To set the scene for the kind of after-dinner chill your guests will never want to leave, Mike shared few tips on hosting with grace, and ease:
1. Music is Important
It sets the tone for the night, and as Mike notes, “make sure your playlist is on point. You can actually find my go-to on Spotify - it’s called K’Far Turnt (named for our bakery, K’Far, and they’re always great vibes).”
2. Delegate So You Can Be Present

Mike Solomonov’s Quick Tehina Sauce in partnership with LG Dishwashers with TrueSteam®
The Ingredients:
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 (16-ounce) jar tehina
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 to 1½ cups ice water
The Directions:
Nick off a piece of the garlic (about a quarter of the clove) and drop it into the bowl of a food processor.
Squeeze the lemon juice into the bowl.
Pour the tehina on top, making sure to scrape it all out of the container, and add the cumin and salt.
Process until the mixture looks peanut buttery, about 1 minute, then stream in the ice water a little at a time with the motor running. Process until the mixture is smooth and creamy and lightens to the color of dry sand. Now you have Quick Tehina Sauce!
And if you're in the mood for hummus, just add two 15-ounce cans of drained and rinsed chickpeas to the tehina sauce and process for about three minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl as you go, until the chickpeas are completely processed and the hummus is smooth and uniform in color.
