Earth Day is a great day for a Spring party!  We’ve gathered some tips on how to throw a fun, memorable and eco-friendly soiree.

Location: Outdoors is key if the weather is nice and you can swing it.  Consider hosting in a park, garden, or backyard.

Decorate with Recyclable Items: Avoid using disposable decorations and instead, use items that can be reused or recycled. We love to use potted plants for the table filled with mixed herbs and spring flowers.

Plan Sustainable Food and Drinks: Choose eco-friendly and sustainable options when planning your menu. Serve organic and locally sourced food and drinks.

Plan Earth-Friendly Activities: Plan activities that promote sustainability and eco-consciousness. Have a planting activity where guests can plant seeds or trees. You can also organize a recycling or clean-up project in your community or a nature walk followed by lunch.

Give Eco-Friendly Party Favors: Thank your guests for attending by giving them eco-friendly party favors. Consider giving reusable shopping bags, stainless steel or glass water bottles, or biodegradable seed packets.  We printed these menus on seed paper that can be planted -- it grows flowers!

Clean up Responsibly: Make sure to clean up responsibly after the party. Separate trash, recycling, and compostable items. If possible, donate any leftover food to a local food bank and flowers to an organization in need.

Remember, every little bit helps when it comes to protecting our planet, so let's all do our part!
