Q & A
What is your favorite dish to serve when hosting dinner parties?
My famous challah bread pudding with Kremas, a delicious coconut rum concoction from Haiti.
Theme or no theme to your parties?
Always a theme. Can be a color, a mood, or a concept—we are having a theme! My last company gala's theme was “Once upon a Time: A Modern Fairytale”.
What’s your best tip for hosting a successful meal?
Cook mainly with your guest in mind, not just yourself.
If you were a color, what would you be and why?
Green—the overwhelming color of nature. It’s calming, soothing, and the color of thyme... my favorite herb.
Who is your dream dinner guest?
Maya Angelou. She’s been through so much yet still she rise. I feel like I could learn a lot from a conversation with her.
